Professional support for ANutr (Registered Associate Nutritionists)

Group support

Group support is for Registered Associate Nutritionists in public health (either freelance ANutr or those working as the only nutritionist for their organisation). We meet quarterly via Zoom and then you are given support via email in between. We look at a range of topics including complex cases, staying within areas of competency, the latest research and Association for Nutrition (AfN) transfer portfolio development. With a maximum of 5 in a group you have lots of time to ask questions and get the most out of the support.

Here’s what one group member said after she transferred to RNutr: “I’d like to say a massive thanks to you for all your support and coaching over the years and providing my reference for this transfer. I could not have done it without you.” Beverley Mort RNutr

One to one support

Would you prefer time 1-1 with me? Just like the group, it is for ANutr working within public health with 1-1 clients. We look at complex cases, staying within areas of competency, the latest research and portfolio development. Because it is on a 1-1 basis so you have the benefit of being able to go into even more depth about your own work and journey. This service includes quarterly meetings via Zoom as well as support via email in between.

Here’s what one 1-1 client said about the service: “I felt I needed to learn more about taking one to one sessions with clients…I had someone to turn to if I had any queries about dealing with my clients (it) also gave me confidence to apply for full AfN status.” Cathy Court RNutr

Is this service free?

No, there is a charge for this support. This is an annual subscription to the service and includes the meetings and the support in between.

Does this service cover mentoring?

Yes, it does. The AfN defines a mentor as “An AfN mentor is a person with subject specific knowledge, normally a Registered Nutritionist (RNutr), who is willing to act as a trusted adviser for a less experienced ANutr registrant (the mentee).” See the AfN Standards for Independent and Freelance Practice for more information or contact AfN directly.

I can’t afford to pay, what support can I get?

AfN provide free support for ANutr through the ANutr development framework including free group mentoring. Log in to the dashboard for further information. I am more than happy to signpost you to AfN resources if you need. I have also put some free resources here alongside the paid services.
